GOAL
WE
KEEP GETTING
BIGGER….AND
BETTER!!
During the
2009/2010 school year, we had 7 basketball
teams with 98 games. This year, we had 10
basketball teams with 139 games and 3 of our
6 competitive teams made the playoffs!
In 2009/2010, we
had 8 volleyball teams with 114 games. This
year, we had 10 volleyball teams with 138
games and 4 out of our 6 teams made the
playoffs!
We had 20 Soccer
games this year and one of our teams
(although, not officially
SAINTS
at the time) played in the championship
game!
The
SAINTS
had 8 Baseball and 8 softball teams, and
BOTH teams went to the playoffs.
We had 5 Track
events and excelled in all areas.
In a nut shell,
in 2009/2010, we had 212 games. In
2010-2011, the
SAINTS
were involved in 318 games or events!!!!
WOW!!
THE
SAINTS
NEED
YOUR
HELP!
With all these
added games and events it has become a
challenge to support the teams with the
needed personnel. Currently, the St.
Pascal Sports Council has only 4 active
members.
We desperately
need people to help with set up, score
keeping, concessions, and take down during
the various games at Heimsath hall. We
further need help with fund raising. What
better way to help out St. Pascal and enjoy
some great sports!

Alas,
not
all
the news
is
good
news.
This year we bid
farewell and thank you for a job well done
to Mickey Connor, President of the St.
Cornelius Athletic Association. His
term is over at the end of this school year.
Mick’s tireless efforts over the last 10
years to the student athletes of St.
Cornelius have been nothing short of
spectacular. The past two years Mickey
was a driving force behind the forming of
the SAINTS.
Mickey, you will be
missed, our friend!
Mission: The athletic
program of St. Pascal is an extension of the
academic program and its mission. The
athletic program exists to instruct children
not only in the fundamentals of a sport but
also in the importance
of sportsmanship and the responsibilities of
being a team member. The athletic
program’s main goal is to teach the children
that participating in athletics is enjoyable
and a way to learn more about one’s
abilities. Participants, students, and
coaches are to maintain a Christian standard
of conduct that adheres to the
school’s rules regarding common decency and
respect for others. While winning is
important, the object of competition is
learning to do one’s best regardless of the
outcome and never at the expense of others
