Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist
The people who
volunteer their services to assist in the distribution of the
Eucharist are expected to be of good moral character as well as to
have a deep devotion to our Lord. While there are no requirements as
such, the person who serves in this ministry for the community must
attend a number of preparatory sessions involving not only basic
instruction, but also reflection on the ministry. Auxiliary
ministers of Holy Communion are expected to serve at the regular
Masses as well as at special services held throughout the year. Every attempt is made to have ministers assigned to the Mass of
their preference.
Anyone interested in training to become a
Eucharistic minister should notify one of the pastoral staff.
